Terms and Conditions — Adentro Money
Last updated: 20 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Adentro Limited (company registered in England and Wales, registered office 4 Warren Farm Close, Epsom, KT17 3AJ) ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of Adentro Money (the "Service"). Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. About the Service
Adentro Money is a personal and household finance tool. It lets you upload your own bank and card statements, organises and reconciles your transactions, shows you insights about your spending and balances, and lets you ask questions about your own financial data using a built-in AI assistant. You stay in control of what you upload — we do not connect to your bank accounts directly.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.
- Households: each member of a household has their own account and agrees to these Terms individually. You must only invite people who are happy to join.
3. Not financial advice — important
Adentro Money is an information and organisation tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, debt, or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for professional advice.
- The insights, figures, categorisations, projections, and answers the Service provides (including any generated by the AI assistant) are for your information only. They may contain errors or omissions, and they depend entirely on the accuracy and completeness of the data you upload.
- Nothing in the Service is a personal recommendation to take (or not take) any financial action. You should not make financial decisions based solely on the Service, and you should seek advice from a suitably qualified professional where appropriate.
- We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and the Service does not carry out any regulated activity. [review: confirm the Service's activities fall outside the scope of FCA regulation, and that this wording is appropriate.]
4. The AI assistant
The Service includes an AI assistant that answers questions about the financial data in your account, and AI-assisted transaction categorisation. You understand and accept that:
- AI-generated answers and categorisations can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading, and must not be relied on as fact or advice.
- The assistant works only from the data available in your account; it cannot know things you have not provided.
- You are responsible for checking anything important before acting on it.
See our Privacy Policy for how the AI features process your data.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful.
- Upload data you do not have the right to use, or that infringes anyone else's rights.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or to breach or test our security without permission.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or misuse the Service or its infrastructure.
- Resell or provide the Service to others except as expressly allowed (for example, inviting members of your own household).
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.
6. Subscriptions, payment, and cancellation
[This section anticipates a paid launch. Confirm details on choosing a payment provider.]
- The Service may be offered on a free trial and/or a paid subscription. Current prices and trial terms are shown at sign-up.
- Payments are handled by our third-party payment provider [e.g. Paddle / Lemon Squeezy], who acts as merchant of record. Their terms also apply to the payment transaction.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period.
- Refunds / cooling-off: as a UK consumer you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. Because the Service is digital content supplied immediately, you may be asked to consent to it starting during that period, which can affect the right to a refund. [review: consumer cancellation rights and refund policy.]
- We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes will not affect the period you have already paid for.
7. Your data and content
- You keep ownership of the financial data and content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service to you.
- Our handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.
- You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important; the Service is not a system of record for your bank.
8. Availability and changes
- We work hard to keep the Service available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.
- We may update, change, or discontinue features. If we make a material change that affects you, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your data), belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it except as these Terms allow.
10. Ending your use
- You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
- We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service (in which case we will give reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a refund of any prepaid period). [review]
- On closure, we handle your data as set out in the Privacy Policy.
11. Our liability
[review: this section in particular should be checked by a solicitor.]
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
- Subject to that, and because the Service is an information tool you rely on at your own discretion, we are not liable for financial losses, decisions, or actions you take based on the Service or its outputs (including AI-generated content).
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from inaccurate or incomplete data you upload.
- Where we are liable, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period. [review]
- We are not responsible for the acts of third-party providers (such as your bank, the payment provider, or the AI provider), except as required by law.
12. General
- Governing law: these Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. [review if selling outside the UK.]
- If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms (for example, if our business is sold); this will not affect your rights.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us regarding the Service.
